Welcome to Less Traveled Tales! I’ve never been particularly motivated by money or acquiring material possessions. What does motivate me is the pursuit and management of a certain lifestyle. To borrow from Robert Frost, I’ve always aspired to take the less trodden path knowing that the stories will be more interesting.
I’ve spent most of my days being the curator of my own collection of experiences. I haven’t written them all down, but this blog’s intent is to keep me on course to improve my lifestyle daily. To me, that means more experiences, more stories, and more writing.
People that know me would say my current lifestyle is hard to beat. I travel frequently to interesting and often exotic places, work for myself, and have only one dependent: the world’s calmest black lab.
But writers write. I write, but not enough. Less Traveled Tales is my way of motivating and improving myself through writing. Along the way, I’d love to inspire anyone who takes the time to read my stories to reach their own desired lifestyle. What’s missing in your life, and how can you fill the void?
So, what exactly is here, and what will you get out of it? My first hope is that you’ll be entertained.
I tend to find myself in interesting situations, and I do my best to put them to paper. There are Non-Fiction accounts of personal experiences posted in this blog; some are serious, some comical, and some bordering on the ridiculous.
There is also a Fiction section, where I will be posting original short stories. If you get sick of reading about me, I’ve given you Fiction as a way out.
Editorials will offer my opinions on a myriad of things. As an example, I used past experience as a bartender to compile Bar Etiquette, which became a way for me to do my part molding the youth of today. There really should be a college course on this.
Finally, there is a Travel Destinations section. My business is corporate events and entertainment. I tend to the needs of small corporate groups in a variety of desirable locales. This has been my professional side for over twenty years, and with these clients I have traveled all over the world. I frequent hotels, resorts, restaurants, and events that I could never afford on a simple whim. With Travel Destinations, I’ll be providing an eye inside these venues, and maybe you’ll find something there that inspires you to step off your front porch. There will be picture galleries, personal accounts, and site reviews of my travels.
So there you have it. Less Traveled Tales is meant to keep me and its followers on a safe path to a more fulfilling lifestyle. I hope you enjoy!
If one advances confidently in the directions of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.
